A bit quick decision about third and last litter of our s.r. s. T.s. Int.Ch. Unai Unique z Kovárny was done. After difficult determination we chosed Caesar v.d.Wilden Erlen. Caesar is big and strong boy with nice classic head, although he is very young still, he already had IPO1 examination and is preparing for IPO2 for next Spring. His grandson is Int.Ch.Anthony du Domaine des Chodes, IPO3, Agility 3, father of our clever Choran. Mating took place on November 15th and 16th and pregnancy is confirmed. Wania is still late with her heat, so our plans for working Groenendael litter have to wait a bit.

The best brood bitch through varieties became our P.E.Int.Ch.Venus Innah z Kovárny (P.E.Int.Ch.Igneous Innah z Kovárny was 4th best brood bitch of Tervueren)
They have similar competition in Danemark and the best Tervueren of this year became Ch.Espero Ero z Kovárny
Divine surprised us all. After very strange heat (almost 0 level of progesteron, but was willing for sex for almost two weeks in row) we had to risk and estimate mating date, after coming inflammation of uterus, nobody expected she could be pregnant. And she was. She went through pregnancy and whelped unbelievable 11 puppies! We have got 3 boys and 8 girls, unfortunately last girl was dead. So we have 10 puppies, a bit smaller, then is our usual "little hippo" size, but still of good size and very lively. Divine had nice and easy whelping, everything was done in only 4 hours. 22.-23.10.2016 1st Czech Championship of BSD in herding, Martínkovice, judge Zuzana Černá
At very first Czech Championship of BSD in herding was five dogs bred by us. The youngest Fia was there to try HWT examination (additional program), but unfortunately miss few points to get it. In IHT1 category started Alaia, without possibility to training regularly and so finally with mistake on the parcour was disqualified. In IHT2 category there was Hamada Black z Kovárny from Poland and done IHT2 examination and was placed 5th! In highest category IHT3 we had two offsprings - Decent Demon and Yassi Venus. Demon did mistake on parcour and was disqualified, Yassi finished whole course, but did not get limit. Nevertheless she was only czech team in IHT3 who finished. The level was set very high, there were many participants from abroad - Finland, France, Norway, Poland. The CACT and CACIT title belgongs to finnish competitor. The title of first Czech Master of BSD went to IHT2 competitor Forks Black z JBonda (3/4 pedigree of our offsprings). Many congratulation to all!

New puppies:
Divine is expecting her second litter in few days. It is foreign mating with male from Belgium - more information here. I added plans for next year also.
While I missed the update, some dogs bred by us had "puppy news" too. Ch.Decent Demon z Kovárny became sire of 5 boys and 2 girls, born on August 22nd, in White Talisman breeder; mother is Helen Těchlovice. Mating between s. Se Int.Ch.Alaia Black z Kovárny and our Ch.Elyos du Moulin du Verger went unsuccesfully unfortunately. Alaia became pregnant, but then absorbed puppies. Hope next time it will work out.

New puppies:
Caramel gave born to one boy and two girls on May, 22nd. All are big, strong, deep red and are developing nicely. More information about the litter here and photos here. There are buyers for all ot them, but because of small number of puppies in the litter, we decided to wait untill ca 5 weeks of age to say, if they are good enough for the purposes of the buyers. If no, they will be offered to other who are interesting in them.

I also have some plans for future. Very rare for me, who are deciding about the male untill last possible second ;-) But now it was like a flash and I know, yes I must do this. So the first workingline groenendaels are coming.... more here.

We had bad luck this year. Four dogs bred by us qualified for FMBB WCh, but JCh.Yessica Venus z Kovárny cannot accept nomination because of family situation of the owner and her very succesfull brother Ch.Yethro Saphir z Kovárny did not went to France due to health problem of the owner. Finally came only s. Se. Int.Ch. Alaia Black z Kovárny in Czech Obedience team and Why Not Black z Kovárny (Lili) in Slovenian Agility team. Lili unfortunately did not qualified for the finale this year and Alaia got some stomach sickness on her first day of competition... So whole her competition in France was very much influenced by it and she ended up on 9th place.

FMBB World Championship of Belgian shepherds will be hosted this year by CFCBB in France and same like in previous years, we will have some dogs here. In OB2 category qualified s. Se. Int.Ch. Alaia Black z Kovárny. In Agility qualified three dogs bred by us - Slovenia will be represented again by Why Not Black z Kovárny and Poland will be represented again by Ch.Yethro Saphir z Kovárny. His sistes Ch.Yessica Venus z Kovárny qualified also, but due to family reason will not go to FMBB Championship.
We cross our fingers for the best possible result! This year very rarely we will not be there.
